Commonly Asked Questions About Guitar & Ukulele Lessons

  • Students have the option to choose from acoustic, electric, or bass guitar. Each instrument has its own unique sound and style - so it's purely a matter of student preference!

  • The earliest we recommend starting guitar or ukulele lessons is 5 years old. This is typically the perfect age where the child's hand size is ready to pick up and learn a junior-sized guitar or ukulele.

  • Not at all! If learning how to play an instrument is your dream, we're here to help students of any age learn how to play beautiful music.

  • Yes. Our teachers have extensive experience and/or educational backgrounds in their area of specialization. Every teacher is thoroughly vetted and goes through a comprehensive background check, including FBI and Department of Justice clearance.

  • We do our best to match every student with the perfect teacher, but if for any reason it's just not the right fit, we will be more than happy to find an alternative solution. Depending on the situation, this may include finding a new teacher for private lessons, or a different group class.

  • It is natural to expect some challenges when starting any new activity, especially for the first time. With younger students in particular, we may recommend sticking with the instrument for just a while to properly assess if any adjustments can be made from the teacher's approach. We encourage any students/families to bring this matter to their teacher's attention as early as possible. After consulting with their teacher, students are free to switch their instrument if needed.

  • Yes! We have many students who require special learning accommodations, and our dedicated and caring teachers help everyone shine in their classes. Please inform us of any special circumstances during registration.
