PIANO LESSONS

The piano is at the heart of our music program here at Sounds of Color Studio. It’s the first instrument we began teaching 30 years ago, and to this day it remains our most popular music class. For starters, the piano is one of the most approachable instruments, providing a comprehensive foundation in many of the most essential music skills. Sight-reading, music theory, posture, chords & scales - it’s all there. With a background in piano you can go almost anywhere in the musical word, for the skills you’ll learn are easily transferrable with many other instruments. So pull up a bench and let’s start your musical journey with the piano.

How We Teach • Piano Lessons

No matter your experience level or age, we start every student’s piano experience with the same question: “What would you like to learn?” Unlike other music schools that impose a rigid curriculum, at Sounds of Color Studio our students have the freedom to choose from any style of music they want to learn. Over the years our students have performed pieces from an incredibly diverse list of singers, musicians and composers, from Taylor Swift to Tchaikovsky. So whether you want to explore the classical genre, or learn how to play your favorite pop song, you’ll find there’s no limit to your musical repertoire with piano lessons at Sounds of Color Studio.
